Common Questions

Comprehensive Answers

I have compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received over my career. It is normal and encouraged for patients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a licensed Mental Health Service Provider. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

What is CBT?

CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is a model often used to understand how changing one's thoughts can elicit different feelings and results. It is used quite often to treat depression, anxiety, substance abuse and help with marital discord.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

Yes- on a case by case basis. I want therapy to be something that anyone can afford. If it feels like you want the assistance but the rates are too high, message me to see what we can work out.

How long does each therapy session take?

Sessions are offered for 30 minute to 60 minute sessions. Initial sessions require 60 minutes to allow for an in depth understanding of the goals and ways that therapy can help achieve those goals.

Can I do more than one session in a week?

Yes! Sometimes one session is not enough and a deeper understanding is needed to work towards a goal. Additional sessions per week can be scheduled based upon need.
